The location depends on the creative idea. For classic portait photography, we may choose to do it in the photography studio. For streetfashion/lifestyle photos we may take a walk around your city. Nature lovers enjoy scenic locations in parks, botanical gardens, lakes, or the beach.

We are based in Groningen, but travel to a different location is possible (may be subject to an extra fee).

Before the photoshoot, I’d recommend collecting a few examples of the style/poses you like (for example, making a moodboard on Pinterest). You may also take a look at my moodboards. Take a close look at the pictures for inspiration on poses, atmosphere, emotion. This way we can discuss our vision together and have a clearer idea of the desired result. Afterwards, I’d recommend trying to ‘get absorbed’ into this ‘role’ or emotion.

Also, throughout the process I will continuously direct you and ask you to perform certain movements, for example, slowly walk, turn to the side. I will demonstrate, and you’ll only have to repeat it, as natural movement and relaxed presence usually look best on camera.

These stylistic choices depend on what is the vision for the photoshoot. Usually I recommend choosing neutral colours (e.g., black, grey, beige) as I noticed that these are the most universal and less often clash with the background. For makeup, I’d recommend a ‘no-makeup’ makeup look, or a soft nude. It is often best to avoid false eyelashes and especially eyelash extensions. For hair, it is important that it looks neat and polished, regardless of a specific hairstyle. Nevertheless, these choices are highly individual and depend on your personal preferences, style, and the creative idea for the photoshoot.

This service includes 20 retouched images which may be selected from an online gallery. Unretouched images are not shared. You may order extra retouched images: 10 Eur/pcs. Project pricing starts at 250 Eur

Approximately one week after the photoshoot, you will receive an invitation to select your favorite photos, which will then be retouched in detail. In this online gallery, you will see a preliminary, but not final, version of the images. Once you select your desired shots, they will be retouched in detail. You will receive the final version approximately three weeks after making your selection.

The delivery timelines for the photos are preliminary and may vary due to seasonality, order volume (for example, if clients before you selected many additional photos), and other reasons. The retouching queue is organized not by the date of the photoshoot, but by the date the photos are selected.
